Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will be hosting the Third Annual Utah Economic Forum, “America’s Fiscal Future:  Tax and Entitlement Reform” which will be held at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, August 31^st.

         This year the Senator is very pleased to be joined by the House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Rep. Dave Camp (R-Michigan), which will provide Utahns with an opportunity to hear from the top Republicans on the tax writing committees of both Houses of Congress. 

         As our nation faces record federal spending, a massive federal debt, high unemployment, and an ever-increasing number of bailouts and programs – the economy remains one of the most pressing concerns for most Utahns.  This forum will feature a discussion by Hatch and Camp, two Members at the forefront of the battles currently being waged in Congress regarding our nation’s financial future; and will provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions and work on solutions together.  

         The Forum will feature an important issue discussion on such topics as: tax reform; entitlement reform including Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security; and pro-growth financial policies for job creation.   It will be held from 10:00 – 11:30 am, in the Ragan Theater in the Sorenson Student Center on the Utah Valley University Campus
